Hello, I'm Amelie
A project manager. A parent. An expatriate residing in Paris, France.
Several years back I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually opened a new chapter overseas.
Origins
Moving to France hadn't been part of our long-range plan. Like many expat relocations, it began as a job opportunity and quickly grew into something far more significant.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, and rising expectations. Everyday tasks felt more complicated than necessary.
The Adaptation Phase
There was cultural adjustment, some uncertainty, and plenty of hands-on learning. Gradually, routines took shape. We found places that suited us, connected with other families, and started building something that felt steady.
Why I Built HarmonyFieldCo
Most information online fell into either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism material. What was missing was an honest, day-to-day family perspective.
This site aims to fill that gap — practical guidance based on real life in France.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site is:
- Hands-on experience from living in France
- Centered on family life and day-to-day realities
- Updated whenever a real change occurs
This site isn't:
- Not a tourism authority resource
- A sponsored review platform
- A generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our stay in France goes on, and the learning journey continues. As long as the information remains helpful, I will continue recording what we uncover.
If you have questions about family life in Paris or anywhere in France, please feel free to get in touch.
Best regards,
Amelie
